Priced at $176,300 drive-away, the CLE 53 Cabriolet brings a new level of dynamism to the brand’s midsize convertible segment.
Muscle with finesse
At its core, the CLE 53 houses a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder engine producing 330kW and 560Nm, with an overboost function briefly delivering up to 600Nm.
Paired with a 48V integrated starter generator, the powertrain adds a temporary 17kW and 205Nm to bolster off-the-line response and in-gear acceleration.
The 0 to 100km/h sprint is handled in just 4.2 seconds.Power is channelled through AMG’s Speedshift TCT 9-speed auto, delivering rapid shifts and enhanced control in manual mode via paddle shifters.
The fully variable 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system also includes drift mode, allowing full rear-drive operation when desired.
