Well-known Auckland chef Michael Meredith and business partner Lisa King set up Eat my Lunch, a website where you can buy a lunch and have a school lunch donated to a Kiwi kid in need.
They are now supplying lunches to nearly 1000 people and to more than 1200 school kids every work day. Alongside couriers, to help with the deliveries the Eat My Lunch team now have four Mini Countryman; two donated by Mini New Zealand.
In the latest Driven.co.nz video Stars and Their Cars, Meredith took us on one of his weekday school lunch drop-offs in a Countryman and talked about his first cars and road trips, plus the inspiration behind his initiative.
