LDV New Zealand has debuted its limited-edition T60 Traverse ute at the Fieldays 2024 event in Hamilton.
From June 12 to 15, visitors to Mystery Creek Events Centre can take a look at the formidable new ute, tailored specifically for the local agricultural sector and its challenging terrains.
Inspired by the 42 Traverse Track
The T60 Traverse draws inspiration from the renowned 42 Traverse track, a rugged trail in the Tongariro Forest Conservation Area.
Equipped with a 2.0-litre variable geometry turbocharged diesel engine, the T60 Traverse generates a healthy 160kW/480 Nm. Its part-time 4WD system and 8-speed automatic transmission provide power and precision whether on farm tracks or highways.
Including all-terrain tyres, a bullbar, a roof-mounted platform, DTM wheels and a snorkel further enhances the ute's robust profile.
Exclusive features
Priced at an introductory $67,990 during Fieldays 2024, the T60 Traverse is packed with desirable features. Notably, event-going buyers will receive a complimentary towbar.
Standard equipment includes the VRS Metro Bullbar for frontal protection, Lustre Protection Film for exterior durability, DTM 18-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tyres, chrome delete/blackout for a sleek finish, a black powder-coated sports bar, a TJM snorkel, black tinted windows, deep dish rubber mats and a Titan tray with high load-carrying capacity.
Additionally, weather shields and a bonnet protector provide practical and stylish protection.
General Manager of Inchcape New Zealand, Kym Mellow, emphasises the T60 Traverse's dual capability as both a workhorse and an adventure vehicle. "The T60 Traverse is extremely well kitted out and can easily double as a rugged workhorse during the week and the ultimate adventure vehicle on the weekend," says Mellow.
The vehicle’s high-performance window tints and Lustre Protection Film add to its striking appearance while offering significant protection against environmental wear.
A limited opportunity
Only 150 units of the T60 Traverse will be available in New Zealand, making it a coveted addition for enthusiasts.

Prospective buyers and automotive enthusiasts are encouraged to visit the LDV site (#148) at Hamilton’s Fieldays to explore the T60 Traverse and other vehicles from LDV’s commercial range.
In related news, Fieldays 2024 has seen a flurry of local vehicle launches, most notably the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado MHEV, BYD Shark 6 PHEV ute and more.
