Lexus New Zealand has launched a new aftercare programme that adds real bite to routine maintenance, and it’s called Lexus Service Protect.
From today, eligible Lexus owners will receive a 12-month or 15,000km warranty (whichever comes first) every time they service their vehicle at an authorised Lexus dealership or service agent.
The initiative, now rolled out nationwide, adds an extra layer of reassurance for drivers, covering mechanical and electrical failures, including hybrid system and battery components.
Warranty every visit? Yes, really.
Available to any Lexus that’s less than 10 years old and has fewer than 150,000km on the clock, the coverage kicks in after every qualifying service. That means ongoing protection with no additional upfront cost, provided owners keep servicing within the Lexus network.
Also bundled in: 24/7 roadside assistance, zero excess on approved claims and even accommodation or a rental vehicle if your car breaks down over 50km from home and can’t be repaired within a day.
Lexus New Zealand’s Assistant Vice President of Aftersales Operations, Michelle Povey, says the offer reflects the brand’s values: “Lexus Service Protect is our way of extending that sense of confidence, offering owners the peace of mind they deserve with every drive.”
A sweetener for sellers, too
For those thinking long term, Lexus Service Protect could prove a useful sales tool. The coverage is fully transferable, giving second-hand buyers peace of mind and adding value at resale.
Even used or imported Lexus vehicles may qualify, provided they meet the age and mileage criteria and pass an inspection if not already covered by a factory warranty.
