All-new Temerario GT3 to debut at Sebring in 2026.

All-new Temerario GT3 to debut at Sebring in 2026.

  • New Temerario GT3 is Lamborghini's first race car fully developed in-house at Sant’Agata Bolognese.
  • It uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 reworked to 410kW for compliance with GT3 regulations.
  • The model debuts at the 2026 Sebring 12 Hours and is built for global customer racing teams.

Lamborghini has taken the wraps off its latest racing thoroughbred: the all-new Temerario GT3. Revealed at Goodwood, the GT3 is the first-ever competition model based on the Temerario road car and marks a historic moment as the brand’s first race car entirely designed, developed, and built in-house at Sant’Agata Bolognese.

It’s a significant step for Lamborghini Squadra Corse, with the GT3 project baked into the road car’s DNA from the start. The aluminium spaceframe chassis has been lightened and reworked to suit GT3 demands, while a carbon composite body helps reduce weight and boost serviceability on the track.

The entire structure has also been engineered for quick pit-lane disassembly. Yes, even the front lights now come with quick-release connectors.

New twin-turbo heart, no hybrid in sight

Under the bonnet lies a modified version of the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 from the production car, minus the hybrid hardware. GT3 regulations don’t allow electrification, so Lamborghini engineers have focused on reworking the turbocharging system for race duty.

The result is a capped output of 550hp (about 410kW), down from the 800hp road-going version but still plenty of punch when paired with the revised power curve and six-speed transverse gearbox.

The engine features a flat-plane crankshaft for optimal fluid dynamics and a soundtrack worthy of endurance racing, aided by a bespoke Capristo exhaust. Titanium conrods, recalibrated mapping and a redesigned airbox complete the motorsport makeover.

Sebring-bound and customer-ready

The Temerario GT3 sits on 18-inch Ronal wheels with a wider track and longer wheelbase than its predecessor. New 6-way KW dampers handle suspension duties, shared with Lamborghini’s SC63 LMDh programme, while hydraulic steering has been tailored for fine-tuned feedback.

Inside, the cabin reflects feedback from factory drivers Marco Mapelli and Andrea Caldarelli, with refined ergonomics, updated electronics and a bespoke steering wheel designed by Lamborghini. Even the fuel system has been upgraded for faster pit stops.

The race debut is set for March 2026 at the Sebring 12 Hours, with customer teams expected to get behind the wheel shortly after. Meanwhile, Lamborghini pledges continued support for Huracan GT3 teams during the transition.

The message is clear: the Temerario GT3 is a statement born from the road but bred to conquer tracks around the globe.
