In a tasty turn of events in the motorsport world, massive Swiss multinational food giant, Nestle, has revealed details regarding a new partnership between its KitKat brand and Formula 1.

As the "official chocolate bar of Formula 1", KitKat will release a 29g limited-edition "F1 Chocolate Car" made with its signature blend of milk chocolate, crispy cereal, and wafer pieces. Which is infinitely cooler than chewing on a chocolate frog. Sorry Freddo.

The new KitKat F1 car probably won't be very fast, but it will taste way better than your average McLaren.

Scheduled to be available at major retailers in New Zealand starting in January 2026, the choccy car is part of a number of cross promotions, including KitKat brand activations at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne from March 6th to 8th this year, as well as high profile ad placements in the Netflix series Formula 1: Drive to Survive.

And if a delightfully chocolatey F1 car treat wasn't enough for you, the company is also running a promotion for residents of Australia and New Zealand that will see anyone who purchase two qualifying KitKat products and registers their receipt online going into a draw for a trip for two to the 2026 Italian Grand Prix in Monza this September.

Buy just two and, as well as having a pair of delightful chocolate treats, you can also go into the draw to win the ultimate F1 prize - a trip to the Italian GP at Monza, complete with Paddock Club passes.

The promotion will run from now until March 10th, and along with the impressive main prize, the total prize pool is valued at approximately $96,020 and includes 1000 items of branded merchandise, such as backpacks, caps, and cups as additional prizes.

The major prize includes return flights to Italy, four nights of accommodation and, most importantly, tickets not just to the race, but also the incredibly exclusive Paddock Club hospitality area where you can rub shoulders with F1 legends and other celebrities. Winners of the promotion will be notified and published by March 19, 2026.
