Kia Motors will unveil a new wagon concept car at the 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show.

The yet to be named project study was born at Kia’s European design centre in Frankfurt, just 500 metres from where it will be unveiled and previews what the next-generation cee’d could look like.

Kia are keeping the finer details of their latest concept under wraps, but the first image reveals a new body type for Kia with bold styling, low stance, short overhangs, slanting roof line and large wheel arches. The 'extended hot hatch' appears longer than a conventional hatch, yet shorter than a European estate car.

"The extended hot hatch styling retains the athleticism of the current Pro_Cee’d model, while combining its striking visual presence with a dash of real-world versatility. Reworked and reimagined for a new generation of driver, it puts forward a bold vision for a potential member of the next-generation Cee’d family", said Kia.

Kia say the new concept will be unveiled on 12 September at the Frankfurt International Motor Show.
