- Facelifted Stonic due in New Zealand early-2026.
- Two models, LX and GT-Line, both with 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine.
- Special price for entry model cuts $2k off full retail.
Kia New Zealand will offer the facelifted Stonic compact-SUV at a "special launch price" of $27,990 for the entry LX model when it arrives in the first quarter of 2026. For how long? That's not clear, but the company has already signalled a full retail sticker of $29,990 when the special price ends.
It's almost as if it wants you to rush in and place a pre-order now. Which you can do, by the way.
The LX will be joined by a higher-specification GT-Line at $35,990. Both models are powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine with 74kW/172Nm, driving through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The new frontal styling embraces Kia’s "Star Map" lighting, a sharper grille and new bumper design. At the rear there's a redesigned tailgate, new taillight signature and cleaner bumper profile.
Kia claims the interior now has "upper segment influence", with a Multimode Touch Display replacing traditional HVAC controls: userscan toggle between climate settings and infotainment menus.
The company also says it "offers one of the most comprehensive advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) packages in its class. These include lane-keep (LKA) and lane-follow (LFA), whick work together to help keep the car centred between the lanes, forward collision avoidance (FCA) that monitors vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists on the road ahead, and multi-collision brake (MCB) that automatically applies the brakes after an impact.
The top GT-Line gets blind spot collision avoidance (BCA), which warns of collision-risk with a rear-side vehicle while changing lanes.
