Really like the Kia EV3 small all-electric SUV, but wish it was a bit more sedan-y? Well, you are in luck, because Kia New Zealand has just launched the new EV4 ‘Fastback’ electric sedan, officially revealing pricing yesterday.
The EV4 launches in New Zealand in Light 2WD Long Range and GT-Line 2WD Long Range guises, both utilising a big 81.4kWh battery with up to 633km of range (WLTP) that can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in 31 minutes when using a DC Ultra Fast charger.

Like its EV3 SUV sibling, both EV4 models also pack a 150kW/283Nm electric motor on the front axle, a fully digital 29.6-inch panoramic display, Kia’s latest suspension technology, Kia Connect functionality, Over The Air updates, and V2L capabilities.
The Light 2WD Long Range kicks things off at $63,990 and comes standard with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Follow Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Rear View Monitor with Dynamic Guidelines, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The GT-Line 2WD Long Range lands at $75,990 and adds a full colour Head Up Display, Harmon/ Kardon premium sound system, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, power sunroof, power tailgate, wireless phone charging and larger 19-inch alloy wheels.
"We are excited to introduce the EV4 as part of our EV lineup here in New Zealand," said Managing Director of Kia New Zealand, Todd McDonald.
"At the time of launching EV3, its range was and is, industry leading in New Zealand, tackling range anxiety head on and providing a solution. The EV4 further builds off this range, showcasing our innovation as a brand.

"Earlier this year, we proudly introduced the EV4 to New Zealand during our National EV Day, just weeks after its global debut. From that moment, it was clear we’re not compromising on our electric vehicle range. Our commitment remains strong: to deliver pure electric freedom our customers can rely on."
The Kia EV4 is available now.
