New Ioniq 6 N upgrades deliver serious downforce.

New Ioniq 6 N upgrades deliver serious downforce.

  • Hyundai’s new N Performance Parts package adds adjustable carbon aero, including a swan-neck wing.
  • Includes forged 20-inch wheels, interior trim changes and optional Ferodo brake pads.
  • Pricing starts at around NZ$6000 for the wing or $13,300 for the full kit.

Hyundai’s Ioniq 6 N is already one of the rowdiest EVs around, but the brand clearly thinks there’s room to dial things up further.

A fresh N Performance Parts package has landed in South Korea, bringing exposed carbon aero, forged wheels and a splash of GT3-inspired attitude for owners wanting track-day theatre with their silent thrust.

Carbon, carbon everywhere

The headline act is a sizeable swan-neck rear wing, very much in the Porsche 911 GT3 school of aerodynamic confidence.

Made from carbon-fibre reinforced plastic, the double-deck wing can be set to 8°, 0° or –8°, with downforce ranging between 265kg and 305kg at 257km/h. Hyundai even adds a deflector under the car that contributes another 16kg of stability at full tilt.

Alongside the wing comes a deeper splitter, sharper side skirts and a diffuser extension, all finished in exposed carbon. Red highlights along the lower body remain, so the visual drama definitely trends toward “track toy first, road car second”.

Lighter feet, racier trimmings

The bundle also brings new 20-inch forged wheels in black or white, using a 12-spoke design and shaving 1.5kg of unsprung mass compared with the standard rims. Buyers can sprinkle in further touches: racing stripes, a Sabelt tow strap, carbon centre caps and black wheel nuts, if the full race-day cosplay is calling.

Inside, Hyundai swaps in Pasubio leather for the steering wheel, suede armrests, carbon scuff plates and N-branded floor mats. Ferodo brake pads are available too, engineered for both street duty and circuit abuse.

What it costs and where it lands

The full aero kit is priced at ₩11,000,000 (about NZ$13,300), while the wing on its own goes for ₩4,900,000 (roughly $6000).

For context, the Ioniq 6 N starts at ₩79.9 million (around $96,600) in Korea, with international rollouts, including New Zealand pricing, yet to be detailed.

Under all that carbon, the Ioniq 6 N remains unchanged: dual motors delivering 478kW and 770Nm, plus the brand’s party-piece N Grin Boost function for a 3.2-second sprint to 100km/h. Simulated gearshifts, synthesised exhaust notes and an N Drift Optimiser complete the enthusiast-friendly toolkit.

Hyundai says the N Performance Parts are available now in Korea, with other markets to follow. Wider pricing and timing have not been disclosed yet. The appetite for EV tuning is clearly growing, and Hyundai looks keen to make sure its electric N cars are the ones leading that charge.
