  • The 2026 Honda CR-V range starts from $51,000 for the entry-level 2WD model.
  • The CR-V will be available in 2WD and AWD variants, with a choice of two powertrains.
  • The range tops out at $75,000 and is available across the country now.

Honda New Zealand has confirmed pricing and specifications for the 2026 CR-V lineup, which went on sale nationwide on February 1. This mid-model update expands the current range to four distinct variants, offering consumers a choice between two hybrid and two petrol powertrains, as well as front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.

Pricing for the 2026 Honda CR-V starts at $51,000 for the entry-level CR-V X 2WD Petrol, with the CR-V L AWD Petrol landing at $59,000. The front-wheel-drive Hybrid X variant costs $62,000, while the flagship CR-V Hybrid RS AWD tops the range at $75,000 plus on-road costs.

The 2026 CR-V range starts at $51,000 for the FWD CR-V X model.

This places the CR-V in a higher price segment than the recently announced Nissan Qashqai ($53,990 to $62,990 for an all-hybrid line up) and the new Toyota RAV4 that runs from $49,990 to $63,990 for its standard hybrid range, while the high-spec PHEV models start at $57,990 and top out at $66,990.

The CR-V gets a choice of two engine types for 2026; the petrol-only models are equipped with a 140kW/240Nm 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo engine hooked up to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), while the hybrid variants utilise Honda’s e:HEV two-motor hybrid system.

An AWD option is also available, with the L and range-topping Hybrid RS boasting all-paw grip.

Technology and safety features have also been updated across the 2026 range, and all models include Honda Sensing driver assistance technology, digital driver displays, and touchscreen infotainment systems.

On higher-specification models, Honda has included additional technical features such as a 360-degree multi-view camera, a Head-Up Display (HUD), and access to Honda Connect and Google-based services.
