- Honda has unveiled the WN7, its first fixed-battery electric naked motorcycle, debuting in Europe.
- The WN7 offers an estimated 130km range, CCS2 rapid charging and full home charging under three hours.
- Performance is positioned to match 600cc motorcycles in output and 1000cc machines in torque delivery.
Honda has finally pulled the covers off its first-ever, full-size electric naked bike with the Honda WN7, and it’s aimed squarely at riders who want some spark with their style.
A ‘fun’ bike that’s deadly serious
Honda has been talking up a zero-emission future for years, but the WN7 marks a tangible leap. The company says all its motorcycle products will be carbon-neutral by the 2040s, with this new naked EV leading the charge. First shown as the “EV Fun Concept” at EICMA 2024 in Milan, the production bike keeps the same slim, futuristic silhouette and fixed-battery layout.
ICE-rivaling punch, without the noise
Under the skin, the WN7 packs a fixed lithium-ion battery good for an estimated 130km range. Using the CCS2 charger standard, it can jump from 20 to 80% in just 30 minutes - or you can plug it in at home for a full top-up in under three hours. Honda says performance rivals a 600cc internal-combustion bike for power and a 1000cc machine for torque. In other words, it’s not just a regular eco-commuter.
The name itself reflects the brief: “W” for “Be the Wind”, “N” for Naked and “7” for its output class. A 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync connectivity brings smartphone integration into the mix, underscoring the tech-forward approach.
A sign of what’s coming

Honda describes 2024 as the “first year of global expansion” for its electric motorcycles, with the WN7 just the start of a broader line-up from commuters to fun machines. Given the brand’s 75-plus years of motorcycle know-how, the WN7’s quiet, smooth ride should still deliver the open-road buzz, just without the exhaust note.
