Just in case the standard Ford Mustang - or even the angrier Dark Horse variant - isn't powerful enough for you, Texas-based tuner and hypercar manufacturer Hennessey has revealed its latest feral creation, the limited-run 634kW Super Venom Mustang that, in a nod to the company's founding back in 1991, it will only build 91 examples of.
Operating under the guidelines of "too much is not enough", Hennessey has increased power of the factory 5.0-litre V8 engine by 70 percent, along with 55 percent higher torque – 881Nm at 4,900 rpm. The Super Venom also features an all-new bespoke ‘VenomAero’ carbon fibre performance kit that, according to the company, "enhances handling and cooling to ensure Hennessey’s Mustang is the world’s most capable high-performance muscle car."

To achieve this Hennessey has added a high-flow air induction system, high-performance supercharger, upgraded fuel injectors and fuel pump, plus Hennessey’s engine management system to boost the Coyote 5.0-litre V8 engine’s power.
The in-house designed and developed carbon fibre aero kit consists of a more aggressive front splitter, a functional front hood vent, side skirts, functional front guard louvres, a rear deck lid with an integrated duck bill, and a tall, fixed, rear track wing.

Hennessey also transformed the Mustang's interior, with bespoke leather and Alcantara seats available in blue or black custom styles and a complete retrim of the centre console and the dash which includes a plaque detailing each Super Venom Mustang’s individual serial number.
Hennessey says that the upgraded Super Venom Mustang can hit 60mph (96km/h) from a standing start in just 3.2 seconds and will hammer the ¼ mile in 10.9 seconds at 133 mph (214km/h).
"Over the years we have only branded our most potent cars with our ‘Venom’ trademark: Venom Vipers, Venom GT and most recently our Venom F5," said Hennessey founder and CEO John Hennessey.

"We are excited to unveil our Super Venom Mustang as it offers supercar performance and can now be ordered directly from Ford dealers with a full warranty! Further, we are excited to commemorate our company’s founding in 1991 by offering only 91 units and a unique ’91 Icon’ livery.”
Of course that "ordering direct from a Ford dealer" thing Hennessey mentions only applies to the USA, where the Super Venom GT starts at US$149,950 (NZ$262,197), while the Super Venom Dark Horse is priced at US$163,950 (NZ$286,677), quite the jump on the GT's local RRP of NZ$92,990.
