The Goodwood Revival, widely regarded as the world’s greatest historic motorsport event, is preparing to host an incredible lineup of drivers and riders from across the motorsport landscape. This year's event features a thirteen-strong race list, promising an impressive display of talent on the historic Motor Circuit.

The event will feature ten veterans of the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race, boasting an astonishing 33 victories between them. The group includes "Mr Le Mans" himself, nine-time winner Tom Kristensen, who will be joined by five-time winners Derek Bell and Emanuele Pirro, three-time winners André Lotterer (also a two-time World Endurance Champion), Darren Turner, Dindo Capello, Marcel Fassler, and Romain Dumas, as well as winners David Brabham and Neel Jani.

This year's lineup of drivers features stars from the world of touring cars, Formula 1, IndyCar, Superbikes and endurance racing, including ten Le Mans winners.

Representing American (and New Zealand) motorsport, the grid will feature six-time IndyCar Champion Scott Dixon, four-time IndyCar Champion Dario Franchitti, and seven-time NASCAR Champion Jimmie Johnson, while from the world of Touring Car racing, the Revival will host British Touring Car Champions Gordon Shedden, Jake Hill, Matt Neal, and Tom Ingram. These four drivers alone contribute an impressive 197 BTCC race wins. They will race alongside World Touring Car Champions Andy Priaulx and Rob Huff.

Adding to the star power, 2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button will compete in the Royal Automobile Club (RAC) TT Celebration. Button, who is currently competing in the World Endurance Championship, will race in a 1962 Jaguar E-Type that he acquired specifically for the occasion.

The Goodwood Revival is the only historic motorsport event that takes place using historic dress as well. Hence Jenson's funny hat.

Meanwhile, on the motorbike side of things, the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy race will welcome winners and champions from the World Superbike Championship (WorldSBK) and the Isle of Man TT.

Participants include WorldSBK Champion Carlos Checa, returning after his 2024 Revival debut. He will be joined by WorldSBK riders Eugene Laverty and Troy Bayliss, alongside a host of Isle of Man TT riders who boast a collective 70 podiums at the legendary road race.

The TT contingent includes Conor Cummins, James Hillier, John McGuiness, Josh Brookes, Lee Johnston, and Steve Plater. Notably, current female Isle of Man TT record holder and 2010 Supersport Cup winner Jenny Tinmouth will take part, as will former Isle of Man TT record holder and trailblazer Maria Costello MBE.

Jenson Button bought a 1962 Jaguar E-Type just for the Revival.

"Every year, we are privileged to welcome some of the world’s greatest drivers and riders to the Goodwood Revival," said The Duke of Richmond.

"Drawing on experience from across the breadth of motorsport, these competitors turn their skill and passion to historic racing, often facing rivals they’d never otherwise meet on the track. I’m grateful to them for taking the time to join us over the weekend and look forward to seeing them in action."

The Goodwood Revival is widely considered the world’s greatest historic motor race meeting and historic motorsport event, and it is that it is the only sporting event of its kind to be staged entirely in a period theme. More than solely historic racing, it is also presented as an "unrivalled weekend of historic racing and an immersive celebration of vintage lifestyle, championing craftsmanship and the stories within second-hand treasures."

The 2025 Goodwood Revival takes place Friday 12th to Sunday 14th of September.
