German tuning company modify Mustang for a cause
Germany and America haven't always been the best of friends, but this is most certainly a marriage made in heaven.
Revealed at the recent Essen Motor Show (think German SEMA), this Ford Mustang dons Germany's own ‘Polizei’ strip and a range of modifications courtesy of Wolf Racing. And it's all for a good cause.
The modded Mustang —which also comes with a body kit, adjustable coilovers, and massive wheels — was built as part of the Tune It! Safe! program. The program is designed to promote safe vehicle modification. And as part of it, this rather tough looking Mustang will tour car shows around Germany to spread the message.
Yes, sadly this Mustang isn't being drafted into police service. Although judging by the amount of these that have been dressed up in police attire and tested for the task, it would seem that many consider them a logical choice to take on the masses. And perhaps win some respect among the car enthusiast set.
Adding to the Mustang's position as a logical choice of car to modify in Germany is its position as the nation's most popular sports car. It claimed the title in April earlier this year, racking up more sales than local opponents from Audi, Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz.
Now, time to make this happen in New Zealand ...
