2018 Ford Mustang GT video posted online ahead of launch
The upcoming face-lifted model of the Ford Mustang GT has surfaced online, ahead of its reported 2018 release.
The video, uploaded by YouTuber 'Mustang6G', shows what appears to be b-roll footage of the Mustang as it navigates hill side roads.
The video follows news from Ford that the iconic two-door sports car will come with a hybrid option “by 2020”.
So what's different about the nose? Well, revised and more rounded headlights give the car a more mature look over the current edition Mustang, while contours that fall from the sides of the grill now help frame the edgy new fog lights on the corners. More louvers in the bonnet could also point to new vents.
Around the back the car is difficult to separate from its predecessor, though it does sport a new rear spoiler (the video reports that this car is the ‘performance pack’ version).
The video raises as many questions as it answers. Will this Mustang come with the discussed hybrid power train? Are the V6 and EcoBoost options on the chopping block?
Time will tell. Expect to hear more from Ford soon.
