Love him or hate him, there's no denying Kanye West's significant influence on music and fashion over the past decade or so. While he hasn't had as much of an effect on car culture, his taste in cars and modifying them has been an extremely controversial topic.
From chopping up a $350,000 Maybach for a music video with Jay Z, to painting a brand new Lamborghini Urus 'prosthetic leg' beige, if it'll make people talk, Kanye will do it.

Built as a parting gesture between Mercedes-Benz and McLaren's road car collaboration, and named after a great racing driver, the SLR Stirling Moss is an incredible special edition car. Out of the 1500 SLRs that were sold between 2003 and 2010, only 75 Stirling Moss edition models left the showroom, making these incredibly rare.
Only having two seats and missing a roof, the SLR has an iconic speedster shape that has the performance to match. Powered by a 5.4-litre supercharged V8 that produces 650hp (484kW) at the rear wheels, the SLR can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 3.5 seconds.
Priced at $1.95 million when it first went on sale, perfect examples of the Sterling Moss have sold for over $5.8 million in recent years.
2. 2014 Bugatti Veyron
The Bugatti Veyron is arguably the most recognisable supercars of the 21st century, and not being one to miss out on anything, Kanye had to grab one.
While most new fathers would opt for a minivan or station wagon when their first child arrives, Kanye chose a $3.54 million Veyron. When he purchased it, the Veyron was the fastest production car on the market, and with a 0-100kph of just 2.5 seconds, it still holds its own against newer supercars.

While Kanye's Lamborghini SUV isn't his most ridiculous ride, it is certainly the most controversial.
The Urus was already a subject of contention upon release, with a lot of critics claiming that a 2-tonne Lamborghini defeats the purpose of the supercar title. Kanye only added to this fire when he revealed his Urus' modifications late last year.
Featuring a strange beige wrap and monoblock wheels that look like they're at least 22s, most of the world laughed when they first saw it. Inside, Kanye has opted for a combination of bright blue and grey leather to complete the interior.
4. 2004 Maybach 57
If we're talking about Kanye's questionable modifications, you can't go past the luxurious Maybach that met an unfortunate end in the music video for 'Otis'.
Walking towards the $517,000 vehicle with a Sawzall and plasma cutter in hand, Jay Z and Kanye start the video in a menacing fashion before turning it into a celebration of all things expensive.
After the 'Watch The Throne' duo were finished with the Maybach, it went on to be sold at a charity art auction. Despite the car's initial half-a-million-dollar price tag, the 57 only fetched $88,000 at the auction in 2012.

5. 2013 Dartz Prombron Red Diamond Edition
One outrageously large, Latvian built amoured SUV wasn't enough for the Kardashian family, so Kanye bought two of them.
The Eastern European SUV is based on the Mercedes G-Class and can come with jewel-encrusted snake ornaments and "fake whale penis leather" if you so wish.
Priced at just $2.2 million, the Prombron Red Diamond edition is almost completely bulletproof. Featuring bulletproof body panels, windows, wheels, and anything else that can be bulletproof, it's a reasonably safe SUV.
Shipping from Latvia with three bottles of the world's most expensive Vodka, we can confidently say that this Eastern European monster is Kanye's most outrageous vehicle.
