The final run of 209 La Ferrari Aperta’s has already been completed with and delivered to customers, so chassis #210 to be auction this weekend represents the last chance to purchase a factory-new LaFerrari.
The LaFerrari Aperta is a limited-edition special series model launched to commemorate Ferrari’s 70th anniversary and an open-top version of the LaFerrari hybrid supercar coupe.
As such, the final Aperta will be powered by the same 6.3-litre V12 producing 588kW and 700Nm, combined with a 120kW hybrid system for a total output of 708kW of power and 900Nm of torque.
The final LaFerrari Aperta will also sport a special livery, featuring a one-of-a-kind metallic Rosso Fuoco body colour and metallic Bianco Italia double racing stripe on the bonnet and rear.
The interior has been appointed in black Alcantara and shiny black carbon fiber with red leather inserts on the seats and red stitching.
Auction house RM Southbey’s expect the final Aperta to fetch between $5 and $6.4 million, but done be surprised if those figures are blown out the water once bidding stops on 9 September - second-hand models have already fetched as much as $9.4 million this year.
Either way, all proceeds from the auction will be donated to Save the Children, an international program focusing on child education and wellbeing.
The auction is part of a three day celebration at Ferrari’s headquarters in Maranello, and is availibe by invitation only.
