Final Fast and Furious film release dates announced

In a surprise announcement the release dates for the final three Fast and the Furious films have been released via social media.

 

Fast 8 (which is currently in pre-production) is set to be released on April 14, 2017, Fast 9 will arrive in cinemas on April 19, 2019, and the entire franchise will conclude with Fast 10 which will be released on April 2, 2021 bringing to an end a phenomenal action saga.

First introduced to audiences back in 2001, the franchise has now grossed over $3 billion dollars worldwide.

While little detail for the final films has been released Fast 8 will be directed F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton) and will see the return of Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw, and Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody, with series star Vin Diesel again headlining the project as Dominic Toretto. The new film will also see Diesel return to his home town of New York.
