Practice begins this weekend for the 97th Isle of Man TT.
Newcomers to the famed Mountain Course will be on track on Saturday with full-scale practices scheduled each evening next week.
The annual TT race festival includes a week of practice before racing begins on Saturday June 4 with the six-lap Superbike TT and the first of two three-lap Sidecar races.
Racing is scheduled on four days.
On Monday there is the first 600cc SuperSport race and the 1000cc Super Stock TT.
On Wednesday it’s the second 600cc SuperSport race (four laps) and the Lightweight TT for 650cc SuperTwin machines (four laps) as well as the single lap TT-Zero electric bike race.
The final scheduled race day is Friday June 10 with the second Sidecar race (three laps) followed by the six-lap Senior TT.
Rider seedings for the premier Superbike class see 23-time TT winner and lap record holder John McGuinness set to start first on the road on his Honda Fireblade.
Kiwi veteran Bruce Anstey (Honda) has moved up the seedings this year and starts second on the road looking to extend his record of 10 victories.
James Hillier (Kawasaki) is the third seed ahead of Ian Hutchinson, now riding for the Tyco BMW team after a remarkable return for injury that delivered three victories at the 2015 TT.
Kawasaki rider Peter Hickman is seeded fifth ahead of Michael Dunlop on BMW machinery for the “big bike” races.
The other top-10 riders in the big bike class are Gary Johnston (BMW), William Dunlop (Yamaha), Michael Rutter (BMW) and Manxman Conor Cummins (Honda).
