A truck driver had a lucky escape after it ploughed through a fence and flipped over in a paddock on SH3 in New Plymouth this morning.
The crash happened at about 11.45am near Ahititi.
The driver suffered minor head injuries, but a crane was needed to help overturn the heavy crane his truck had been carrying, a police media spokeswoman said.
St John Ambulance attended to the man and Fire Service helped clean up the spill.
