P24 RS brings 441kW, RWD and minimal electronics.

  • The Donkervoort P24 RS uses a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 441kW and 800Nm.
  • Dry weight is 780kg, with claimed 0 to 200km/h in 7.4 seconds and 300+km/h top speed.
  • Production is limited to 150 units, priced from €298,500, with ABS and power steering optional.

Donkervoort has never chased trends, and the newly revealed P24 RS doubles down on that defiance with a supercar that weighs less than a city hatch, delivers 441kW, and leaves most electronic safety nets firmly on the options list.

Built in Lelystad and limited to just 150 examples, the P24 RS is the second model developed under managing director Denis Donkervoort and the most technically ambitious car the family firm has produced in its 48-year history.

More than 50 cars are already spoken for across Europe, the US and the Middle East, despite a €298,500 (around NZ$600K) starting price.

Less mass, more meaning

At the heart of the P24 RS is an all-new 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 producing up to 441kW and 800Nm. Donkervoort’s “Power To Choose” engine management allows drivers to step outputs between 298kW, 373kW and the full-fat 441kW, depending on mood or conditions .

With a dry weight of just 780kg, that equates to roughly 565kW per tonne, which is normally reserved for track-only machinery. Donkervoort claims 0 to 200km/h in 7.4 seconds and a top speed north of 300km/h, though final figures are still to be confirmed.

Driver first, computer later

True to form, Donkervoort has resisted the industry’s drift toward heavy digital mediation. The P24 RS runs unassisted steering as standard, with no mandatory ABS or stability control. Adjustable traction control is fitted, while power steering and ABS are optional extras rather than defaults.

Managing director Denis Donkervoort says the philosophy is simple: “Technology is a means to an end… What counts is the experience, pleasure, relaxation—the emotion”.

Carbon tricks and clever aero

A major innovation is the new Fort-Ex front subframe, a 9kg Ex-Core carbon-fibre structure that integrates suspension, crash protection, cooling and aerodynamics into a single module . The optional removable aero kit adds 90kg of balanced downforce at 250km/h without compromising top speed.

Then there are the novel swing-out headlights which hide from the airflow until needed, reducing drag and underlining that this is a car engineered into existence.

Production of the Donkervoort P24 RS is capped at 150 units. Delivery timing hasn’t been disclosed yet, but one thing is clear: in an era of ever-smoother supercars, Donkervoort is still betting that raw connection beats refinement.
