The Blue Oval has a new man in charge of shaping its future. Ford has just announced the appointment of Australian Todd Willing as its new head of design, responsible for the styling of both Ford and Lincoln models worldwide.
Willing's journey with Ford began over two decades ago in 2003 as a high school student participating in a work experience program at Ford's Australian Design Studio.
This early exposure ignited his passion, leading him to study industrial design at Monash University. Willing's career with Ford has seen him lead design teams across the globe, from Japan and Germany to the UK, the US and his native Australia.
Iconic designs, an eye for the future

Willing's portfolio boasts some of Ford's most influential models, including the 2007 Mondeo, 2009 Fiesta, 2010 Focus and the head-turning 2017 Ford GT supercar.
His recent role as global design director for Ford Model e, the brand's electric vehicle (EV) division, positions him perfectly to guide Ford's design language into an electrified future.
Willing's appointment comes at a crucial time for Ford, as the automaker accelerates its transition to electric vehicles and seeks to redefine its brand image for a new generation of customers.
With the Hobart-born designer's extensive experience and proven track record, Willing is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the look and feel of Ford's future vehicles, ensuring they resonate with customers on an emotional and practical level.
