What’s your history with this brand?
Mahindra is one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the world, and we’ve been proud to represent it here in Tauranga.
We think these vehicles fit beautifully with the Kiwi lifestyle – whether it’s an SUV like the newly released XUV 3XO, or a tough ute for work and adventure like the Pik-up.
What will people see when they come into your dealership?
Our Mount Maunganui showroom is modern, bright, and welcoming, with the latest Mahindra models on display. Customers can expect a relaxed environment, friendly staff, easy parking, and plenty of space to explore vehicles up close.
What tools, physical or digital, do you have to help people make their car-buying decision?
From the latest brochures to expert product specialists, we make it easy for customers to compare models and options. We also have the full Mahindra range available for test drive.
What’s the most interesting feature of your facility that’s not an actual car?
It’s our people and our customers! We think our people are the very best and our customers are not bad either.
Our facility is also exceptional, having been custom-built a few years ago. It’s pretty special to be right in Mount Maunganui, which is one of New Zealand’s most iconic coastal destinations. Customers can visit our showroom and literally be at the beach 5 minutes later.
Let’s go out the back. How big are your service facilities? How many technicians do you have working out there?
We’ve invested in a full-service facility that’s capable of looking after everything from routine maintenance to complex repairs. We have just completed a new auxiliary workshop building with a fully automated carwash to complement our main workshop facilities.
Our skilled team of factory-trained technicians ensures that every Mahindra leaves our workshop in peak condition.
Where’s a good place to go and test-drive from your location?
One of the perks of being based in the Mount is that we have a fantastic mix of roads right on our doorstep. Customers can try city driving through the town, coastal roads with sea views, or even a short run on a highway towards Papamoa to experience the vehicle’s performance in different conditions. We also offer longer test drives by appointment.
What else is in the area that could make it a destination?
Mount Maunganui is a destination in itself. From walking up Mauao for panoramic views to enjoying boutique shopping and local eateries, there’s so much to do here.
Many customers make a day of it – checking out vehicles, grabbing a coffee, and then heading to the beach.
Our dealership is located on a busy intersection leading to the Tauranga Airport - another centre of attraction for the region.
What plans do you have for the future?
We’re excited about the growth of Mahindra in NZ and look forward to expanding our offerings as the brand introduces new models.
