I know what you're thinking. You assumed, clicking on this story would reveal a simple case of two cashed-up supercar owners who wouldn't know a gear knob from a baked potato colliding together while hooning through a suburban street or some other similarly dangerous place.

But, not so fast. The truth is much stranger.

The fresh video supposedly comes from an unknown event in Kent, Ohio — most likely some kind of autocross event where you can pay a fee to drive a supercar through a course.

With clearly a huge amount of standing water on the surface, the driver navigating the course in a Ferrari 430 loses control, locks his breaks, and slams into the innocent Lamborghini Gallardo waiting on the start line. Thankfully the spectators and organisers standing around the Lambo were able to get out of harm's way, and thankfully the damage sustained to both cars looks relatively cosmetic.

Most surprising of all though, the driver behind the wheel was reportedly one of the professionals warming up the car. "The professional driver blames it on the rain" says the video uploader. "He was mad about them crashing because he was going to drive those cars later in the day."

Goes to show, even the best have their off days.
