- Chevy will build 12 individually numbered Z06 Bathurst Special Editions exclusively for ANZ.
- Each car is based on the 3LZ Coupe with Z07 package and GT3.R-inspired detailing.
- The edition marks the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour debut of the Corvette Z06 GT3.R.
Chevrolet’s Bathurst ambitions are heading from pit lane to driveway, with GM Specialty Vehicles confirming a strictly limited MY26 Corvette Z06 Bathurst 12 Hour Special Edition.
Just 12 examples will be built, each individually numbered from 01 to 12, and all reserved exclusively for Australia and New Zealand. Crucially, it will also be the only way to secure a MY26 Z06 allocation locally this year.
GT3.R connection
The road car has been created to mark the debut of the Corvette Z06 GT3.R at the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour. Chevrolet’s GT3 contender, a purpose-built race car based on the Z06, will contest the event for the first time in February 2026.
The Special Edition builds on the Z06 3LZ Coupe fitted with the Z07 Performance Package, positioning it as the closest road-legal link to the GT3.R racer.
“There has been huge enthusiasm for the news that the Corvette Z06 GT3.R is coming to Bathurst, and we wanted to capture that excitement in a car our customers can own and drive on the road,” said Jess Bala, Managing Director, General Motors Australia and New Zealand. “The MY26 Corvette Z06 Bathurst 12 Hour Special Edition is our most focused, most exclusive Corvette offering yet for this part of the world – and it will be the only way to secure a MY26 Z06 in Australia and New Zealand.”
Z07 hardware, race-ready look

Under the skin, the Z07 package brings Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension, carbon ceramic Brembo brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres measuring 275/30ZR20 at the front and 345/25ZR21 at the rear.
A carbon fibre aero package adds ground effects, dive planes and a high-wing rear spoiler.

All 12 cars will be finished in Switchblade Silver, with Carbon Flash highlights across the aero elements and badges, plus Corvette Racing “Jake” logo wheel caps and blue brake calipers.
A C8.R graphics package and exclusive Bathurst 12 Hour decals further tie the car to Mount Panorama.
Inside, the specification includes Jet Black and Santorini Blue Napa leather with Competition Seats and blue seatbelts, a combination exclusive to this edition in Australia and New Zealand. Each car carries unique Bathurst 12 Hour build plates on the inner door jambs.
More than a badge

Buyers will also receive a tailored ownership package, including a custom artwork print, an indoor car cover featuring a rendered GT3.R graphic and Corvette Racing merchandise.
The Special Edition joins the updated MY26 Stingray and E-Ray range, which introduces a new triple-screen cockpit and Chevrolet Connected Services while retaining Corvette’s mid-mounted V8 layout.
With production capped at 12 and no alternative MY26 Z06 allocation available locally, this Bathurst tribute is less a styling exercise and more a numbered collector’s play, a road-going nod to Corvette’s latest GT3 campaign.
