The Rolls-Royce Phantom is a stunning car. But now, it's gotten even more beautiful.
The Phantom Orchid is a one-off vehicle has hand sculpted orchids incorporated into the dash, making the $450,000 car at least a couple hundred thousand dollars more valuable.
Artist Helen Amy Murray and her team of six spent over 200 hours, and two years, to complete the masterpiece, commissioned by an unknown client in Singapore.
The orchids are fashioned out of silk crepe, which are incorporated into the “Phantom’s Gallery” in front of the passenger.
But it doesn't stop there. The exterior paint job on the vehicle starts with the base colour of Arctic White, with a tint of orchid-themed violet. Some fine glass particles were added to create a pearlescent, shimmering look.
Inside, the hand sculpted silk art work is protected behind glass that runs across its fascia. The interior is finished in Grace White, Havanna, and Smoke Grey with Dark Olive stitching.
Making it even more special is the orchid-inspired picnic table, designed by Rolls-Royce Designer Yohan Benchetrit, which is located behind the front seat with a layer of orchids set into the Piano Black veneer.
