Bugatti have confirmed they're working on a new limited series car with 'significantly better handling', and they expect to reveal the new model next month.
The Bugatti Divo is named after French racing driver Albert Divo who won the open road Targa Florio endurance race in Sicily, Italy for Bugatti twice in the late 1920s.
Designed and built around the requirements of the mountainos and twisty roads seen in Targa Florio, Bugatti say the new Divo will be light, nimble and 'boast enormous downforce and gforces.'
Bugatti won't say what engine they have lined up for Divo, but the Chiron's 8.0-Litre W16, quad turbocharged unit would fit the performance bill with peak power of 1101kW and over 1600Nm of torque.

As well as improved handling, the Divo is set to feature a new design language from the French-based company by reviving it's coachbuilding heritage.
In the first decades of its history, Bugatti designed its own bodies in-house under the leadership of Jean Bugatti and installed on existing chassis.
The Divo will be made in a limited series of only 40 vehicles with a net price is €5 million (approximately NZ$8.6 million)
“The Divo is made for corners,” said President of Bugatti Automobiles, Stephan Winkelmann.
“With the Divo, we want to thrill people throughout the world. With this project, the Bugatti team has an opportunity to interpret the brand DNA in terms of agile, nimble handling in a significantly more performance-oriented way.”
Bugatti plans to unveil the Divo on 24 August 2018 in California, USA.
