Audi’s digital ecosystem just got a serious tune-up.
The German brand has relaunched its myAudi app with a clean new design, tighter integration across all platforms and a built-in AI assistant co-developed with Cariad, Volkswagen Group's automotive software provider.
The move signals Audi’s next phase of connected car strategy, where your smartphone (or smartwatch) doesn’t just unlock the car, but also helps you understand it.
The app now unifies Audi’s digital touchpoints - app, vehicle, and web - under one seamless experience. Users get an interface that looks and feels distinctly Audi: minimalist, sharp and premium. As Audi puts it, the goal is to make digital mobility “as simple and convenient as possible.”
ChatGPT meets quattro
For the first time, the myAudi app comes with artificial intelligence baked in.
The AI assistant, powered by ChatGPT, can dip into the vehicle’s logbook and answer questions you’d normally dig through the manual to find. There’s also a new shopping tab that curates digital services and physical products suited to your specific model, like a concierge with algorithms for taste.
Keys are so 2020s
The digital key remains one of the app’s most convenient features. Drivers can lock, unlock or even start their vehicle straight from their smartphone or smartwatch, meaning the physical key can finally stay at home.
EV owners get extra love too, with smarter charging management, Plug & Charge compatibility and range tracking. The route planner now syncs directly with the car, so you can line up your charging stops from the couch.
Rolling out globally
Already live in more than 50 markets, the updated myAudi app is available now via the Apple App Store and Google Play. Expansion to additional regions, including Brazil and several Gulf states, is on the way.
Audi hasn’t disclosed exact feature availability by market yet, but the brand’s intent is clear: build a digital hub that grows with your car.
At this rate, the smartest thing about your Audi might soon be the app that comes with it.
