Automotive designer Henrik Fisker has refashioned the Aston Martin Vanquish into the Thunderbolt for the 2015 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. The one-off Thunderbolt has a reworked exterior that's been crafted from hand-laid carbonfibre. Up front the car features new headlights, a refashioned bumper with an eye-catching aluminium grille, a bonnet with a power dome, and triangular air intakes. thunderbolt-by-henrik-fisker-rear At the rear, the changes are more dramatic thanks to a new wraparound rear windscreen that flows on from the panoramic glass roof, and a new set of thin LED tail-lights. The Thunderbolt rides on 21-inch alloy wheels and suspension that's been lowered by 15mm. We don't believe that any changes have been made to the Vanquish's 421kW/620Nm 5.9-litre V12. thunderbolt-by-henrik-fisker-screen On the inside, the Thunderbolt features an adjustable height 11.6-inch curved touchscreen by Panasonic and a dashboard clock made by Maurice Lacroix. The Thunderbolt's interior is trimmed in leather from Italian furniture maker Natuzzi, while at the rear there's a specially crafted wine bottle holder. thunderbolt-by-henrik-fisker-wine Fisker and his collaborators Galpin Auto Sports are at pains to point out that the Thunderbolt isn't officially sanctioned by Aston Martin. If there's enough interest shown in the Thunderbolt, though, the two will produce a limited number of cars to order, which will be made available through Galpin's Aston Martin dealership in Los Angeles.
