- Mercedes-AMG has appointed Brad Pitt as ambassador for the upcoming GT 4-Door Coupé launching in 2026.
- A Las Vegas stunt with George Russell driving a prototype offered an early look at the model’s handling.
- The production car will use the AMG.EA platform with three axial-flux motors and a direct-cooled battery.
Mercedes-AMG has pulled off a Hollywood-grade reveal in Las Vegas, tapping none other than Brad Pitt as the face of its upcoming GT 4-door coupe, and pairing him with Mercedes-AMG F1 star George Russell for a high-energy stunt that hints at the brand’s electric performance future.
A-listers, a prototype, and a valet stand

Pitt, fresh from his role in F1 The Movie, fronts AMG’s new era of high-performance EVs. The collaboration kicked off with a playful scene on the Strip: Pitt waiting for his car at a valet stand, only to find the “valet” is actually Russell, who promptly takes a camouflaged GT 4-door coupe prototype for a spirited spin.
The car’s precision and agility were the real stars of the cameo, offering a first taste of what AMG is cooking for 2026.
AMG stresses the stunt was filmed on closed roads with professional drivers, but the intent was clear: this new GT is the opening act for the brand’s next-gen AMG.EA performance architecture.
“A truly exciting, unforgettable experience”

Michael Schiebe, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Brad Pitt to Mercedes-AMG. His authenticity and his taste for the exceptional perfectly reflect the spirit of our upcoming four-door Coupé… With this new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé, we’re redefining performance and creating a truly exciting, unforgettable experience.”

Pitt returned the sentiment: “I’ve always been a fan of performance - both on screen and behind the wheel… I am proud to be part of this next chapter.”
Even Russell seemed smitten after his Las Vegas joyride: “The car feels fantastic, and I’m really impressed with the performance that AMG is bringing to the road.”
Electric muscle: axial flux motors incoming

Beyond the celebrity sparkle sits some serious powertrain ambition. The production GT 4-door coupe will ride on AMG.EA, featuring three axial-flux electric motors and a direct-cooled battery, hardware previewed earlier this year by the Concept AMG GT XX, which set a record at Nardò in Italy.
Continuous power output figures remain under wraps for now, though AMG hints the drivetrain is closely related to that concept car’s blistering setup. Market arrival is slated for 2026, marking AMG’s first series model built entirely on its new EV-first performance platform.
The mix of big-screen talent, motorsport pedigree and a technology-heavy new architecture suggests AMG wants this car to land with theatre. Based on the Vegas stunt alone, the brand isn’t shy about putting on a show, and the production car is shaping up to be the real headline act.
