Italian car makers Alfa Romeo are returning to Formula 1 racing after more than three decades as part of the Sauber team.
The two parties have signed "a multi-year technical and commercial partnership" from next season onwards, according to a joint statement.
"The partnership will enable the exchange of engineering and technical know-how, and provide new opportunities for the two organizations within Formula One and beyond.
"From 2018, the team will be known as the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team. The 2018 F1 car will bear the Alfa Romeo logo, and will be equipped with the 2018 Ferrari power units."
Alfa Romeo is part of the Fiat Chrysler group which also includes Ferrari who are Sauber's new engine suppliers.

The marque won the first two F1 world titles in 1950 and 1951 and later was an engine supplier for several teams before withdrawing in 1985.
"This agreement with the Sauber F1 Team is a significant step in the reshaping of the Alfa Romeo brand, which will return to Formula 1 after an absence of more than 30 years," FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne said.
Sauber chairman Pascal Picci said the support of an internationally renowned company was a big boost for the small team.
"Working closely with a car manufacturer is a great opportunity for the Sauber Group to further develop its technology and engineering projects," said Picci.
"We are confident that together we can bring the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team great success, and look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
