The Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 range has been updated 2016 with improvements to the drivetrain and options list.

Both the existing coupe and the recently launched Spyder are powered by 5.2-litre V10 engine that now features cylinder deactivation.

Power and torque outputs remain unchanged at 449kW and 560Nm, respectively, but the naturally aspirated engine is now able to shut off one bank of cylinders and run as a five-cylinder engine as needed.

According to Lamborghini, this has reduced fuel consumption to 12.2L/100km from 12.5L/100km.

Lamborghini says that it has also tweaked the all-wheel drive system’s electronics for a more neutral feel and “even more improved driving behaviour, particularly in Strada mode”.

On the inside, the Huracan now features matte black air vents, and more leather coverage on the door panels and centre console. The company has grown the Huracan’s colour palette to incorporate a greater selection of heritage colours and matte paints.

Available options have also expanded to include storage nets, a sports exhaust with high gloss black tips, LED engine compartment lighting, transparent engine cover, additional cupholders and power outlets, and a high-end 390W Sensonum sound system with 10 speakers.
